Fears
Audio installation, 20 minutes, 2004
"What are your fears?" Hundreds of people in the
streets of NYC were asked this question. The answers were
edited for an audio installation for the exhibition Terrorvision at
Exit Art in NYC. The audience could take a small bag with
a walkman cassette player and walk around while
listening, rather
than being situated at a fixed point. This setup is a parody
of the museum
audio guide, now the audio isn't directly related to the
visuals and the audience is in control of where to look and what to do while
listening.
This project was part of the exhibition Terrorvision at Exit
Art in NYC in 2004.
